The Panthers and Seahawks, a popular game for NFL Week 3 pick'em pools

Last week, we benefited from some big line moves to help us find solid edges in our NFL Week 3 pick’em pools.

And hey, maybe you’re already a leg up with a play on the Niners laying that big 10.5 against a Giants team playing back-to-back West Coast road games (and still suffering under the stigma of “being the Giants.”)

The swings are a little tighter this week but we can still squeeze out some solid plays using the Pick’em Edge Tool.

Pick’em Pools

The biggest edge on the board in RunYourPool contests is on the Raiders, laying 1.5 in the pool against an Unabated Line of -2.5. That’s good for an 8.7 percent edge, far and away the best number on the board this week. And better yet, just a little under half the people are taking Las Vegas.

(Speaking of popular picks, 82.7 percent of RunYourPool users are using the Seahawks in their pick’ems this week. If you’re looking for some lesser-used teams, you may want to avoid Seattle.)

The Falcons picking up the hook versus the consensus line against a Lions squad that’s a little banged up nets a 5.7 percent edge at DraftKings. The Titans also picked up a little bit of an edge with their +3.5 sliding to -107.

Andy Dalton’s Panthers hang onto 6 in the SuperContest with the line coming their way with Bryce Young out. Note that the Lions laying 3 here instead of 3.5 flip which side of that game becomes playable.

The big edge in Circa Millions goes to the Rams, who tote a 9.7 percent margin at +3 with the rest of the world coming down to +2.5 with questions surrounding Joe Burrow’s availability for the Bengals.

The NFL Week 3 pick’em pools make for a tough week with lots of close matchups. That Rams edge could be a difference-maker.

For your Saturday football, Air Force again shows up as one of the bigger edges on the board, only giving up 3.5 while the consensus line has stretched out all the way to -6. Survivor Pools

Fading the Giants might not prove to be as popular as fading the Cardinals and Texans will be this year, but it was a solid strategy on Thursday.

The Chiefs, Ravens and Cowboys are all massive favorites this week, but the Jags are right there with them.

The Survivor Optimizer set to look for a little future value and take the chalk likes Jacksonville taking on the Texans. The downside there is loads of people are likely landing on the Jags. And there’s an argument against following that particular tide.

Unabated Entries

The Unabated Circa Survivor pick last week reached a consensus around Buffalo fairly quickly – but about 40 percent of the field also ran with the BIlls.

The Millions picks took a little more debate. It was down to the Rams or Browns as the final selection to go with Miami, Kansas City, Tennessee and Dallas. Ultimately, Los Angeles was the pick.

Thank you, Sean McVay.

With the Rams backdooring the spread, the Unabated entry pulled off a 5-0 week. It meant and a 9-1 mark overall through two weeks of the contest. Good start, but a long way to go. I

For this week, the Jags and Dolphins are the final contenders for a Survivor pick. But there’s at least one argument against Jacksonville.

Rufus Peabody argues that landing on a team with that much of the field is a minus-EV spot
