"I went to my doctor for some therapy..."

Khachanov on injuries and needing rest: "The loss to Kamil Majchrzak in the second round of the US Open was very disappointing, when I was leading and in great shape. Before that tournament, in Cincinnati I played against Zverev and I started having back pain, the third time this year. It was a sign that I needed a break. You can't push yourself forever. Or rather, you can, but only until you really collapse. So I discussed with the team the need to take a break, no matter what. I had to sacrifice some tournaments. Everything was going well, but I had to adjust my schedule and make a decision. And since I had a little more time, I went to my doctor for some therapy. I needed to rest to digest everything, if that’s the right way to say it."
